1. Information We Collect
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, account type, company information, state, industry, and role. This information is stored in a secure database and used to personalize your HR guidance experience. We also collect usage data such as the types of HR scenarios you engage with.
2. How We Use Your Information
Your profile information is used to personalize your experience and provide state-relevant HR guidance. Conversation content is transmitted to our AI system solely to generate responses — it is not used for advertising, sold to third parties, or used to train AI models.
3. AI Processing
This application uses an AI system (provided by Anthropic, PBC) to generate HR guidance. Your conversation content is transmitted to Anthropic's API for processing and is subject to Anthropic's privacy and data handling practices. We strongly recommend not entering employee names, social security numbers, or other personally identifiable information into the chat. Describe situations in general terms only.
4. Payment Processing
Subscription payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. When you subscribe, your payment information is collected and stored directly by Stripe — we do not store your credit card number, CVV, or full billing details on our servers. Stripe's handling of your payment data is governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.
5. Local Storage and Cookies
This application uses your browser's local storage to remember that you are a returning user and to preserve your active session across page refreshes. We use session storage to preserve your active chat conversation. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your data with third parties except as necessary to operate the service — specifically, AI response generation (Anthropic) and payment processing (Stripe) — or as required by law.
7. Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information. All API communications are encrypted in transit using TLS. Access to our database is restricted by role-based security controls. However, no system is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Data Retention
Your account profile and saved documents are retained for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription, your data remains available for 90 days, after which it may be deleted. You may request immediate deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us.
9. Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting help@thehrconsultant.org. We will respond to verified requests within 30 days.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
